Attention Coffee and Tea Lovers: Beckley is planning a new Coffee & Tea Celebration! Hosted by Beckley Events and local coffee and tea shops / vendors, the event will offer coffee and tea tastings, coffee and tea-infused desserts, workshops, music and activities on Saturday, April 6 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Beckley’s Events Committee is inviting businesses to consider using this opportunity to promote their coffee or tea-related business or organization. The block party will be held along Neville Street and will feature local businesses as well as other food trucks/vendors and local authors.

Coffee and tea participants may offer samples in exchange for tickets during the event. Attendees purchase tickets for samples (5 for $5), and the drink/dessert participants collect their tickets in exchange for samples. Participants will be
reimbursed 50 cents per ticket collected after the event; Beckley Events will provide the sample cups. Participants may sell larger cups of their drink or dessert portions, other food or items at their business or booth. The tickets may also be
used for samples of optional coffee/tea-infused dessert/food. A few food trucks and specialty food vendors (i.e. honey) may be part of the block party. Music an activities such as coffee/tea workshops, meeting local authors, Coffee with a Cop,
an art activity, a prize drawing and games are being planned.

The booths may set up on the block of Neville Street from Woodlawn Avenue to Heber Street and inside of businesses along Neville Street. Outdoor booth spaces on the street will be available; and a few booths may set up inside of The Raleigh Playhouse & Theatre.

Participants need to follow all requirements of the Health Department. Non- restaurant participants may contact the Health Department (304-252-8531) to learn if a temporary food handling card is needed for specific items. Space is limited, so if interested in participating, please complete the registration form by March 20.
