The City of Beckley is accepting applications for an experienced IT Technician to fill a vacancy in its Information Technology Department. Successful candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic, diverse and fast-paced environment.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid driver’s license, and be willing to work flexible hours.  Candidates should have a minimum 3 years experience in a business, government, or education setting, possess excellent troubleshooting skills, and possess required functional and technical knowledge and skills regarding Windows and Linux operating systems and Cisco networks. Candidates must possess current CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications, or be able to document equivalent experience and obtain required certifications within 90 days of hire. Additional networking experience a plus. A more complete job description will be detailed during interviews. Applicants must be able to successfully pass background and drug test.
