Hello and welcome to the City of Beckley’s Parks and Recreation website. We are excited for you to explore the recreational opportunities that are offered in our City.
Beckley has 12 Community Parks and the Lewis McManus Trail free and opened all year round with a variety of recreational opportunities available. Rentals spaces include our 17 space campground at the New River Park, the Maxwell Hill Community Center, 6 picnic shelters, the Word Park Gazebo and the New River Pool for parties. The City of Beckley’s Parks and Recreation Department has announced that the pool at New River Park, the Sharon Dempsey Pool, will be open Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and will close for the season August 5.
The concession stand will be open during pool operation. The pool at Black Knight will not open for the 2023 season.
